Galilei Hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town of Budapest. This hotel in Pest, that is the name of the part of the city, spreading out on the right side of the Danube, is located in a pedestrian street, just 140 yards/120 meters from the river. Some of the Hungarian capital's renowned baths, like the Gellért, the Racz, and the Rudas are not far away from the Galilei Hotel, and so is the central market hall, the biggest, oldest, and most beautiful one in Central Europe, as well as a popular attraction for tourists, coming to Budapest from all over the world. Housed in an early 19th century building, the Galilei Hotel has welcomed the Austro-Hungarian emperor Franz Joseph I, who stayed here for a while in May 1885. The hotel in Budapest features a café-bar, and a cozy restaurant, serving several Hungarian meat and game specialties. Free wireless Internet access is provided throughout the accommodation.
