On the northeastern corner of the island of Chios (sometimes spelled Hios), the village of Giosonas is set amid pine forests and adjacent to a scenic pebbled beach. From Argos Suites, it?s approx. a 5 minute drive to the clear, calm waters of Nagos Beach. From there it?s another 5 minute drive to Kardamyla, one of the larger villages on the north end of the island and a traditional home of Greek ship-owners. Among the more significant Chios attractions are the 11th-century Nea Moni monastery with fine Byzantine mosaics, the Korai Library in the main town of Chios, the Chios Byzantine Museum, and the Archaeological Museum of Chios.
