The building itself used to be family home in early 1900's and converted to a hotel in the 1940's. It is a traditional hotel and the regular clientele are over the age of 50. It has a warm, friendly atmosphere with the added asset of welcoming staff. It is perfect for guests looking for good food and good service. From Edinburgh Airport, Peebles is south west travelling on the bypass which runs around the city and following the a702 which is clearly sign posted. On arrival into Peebles, staying on the same road until reaching a small round-a-bout and taking a right, with the Park on the immediate right hand side. There is the regular bus service (62) from Edinburgh's St Andrews Square bus station which provides a direct route to Peebles.
There are standard double and twin rooms, with either a view to the front of the hotel or a view to the back of the hotel which over looks the gardens and the hills beyond. Single rooms which over look our own small putting green and Superior rooms which are larger and size and also have the stunning views. All rooms are equiped with Digital TVs, Tea and Coffee making facilities and confortable surroundings.
The hotel has a small putting green with in the hotel garden and also all guests have the opportunity to use the leisure facilities at the sister hotel the Peebles Hydro which is a 5 min walk along the same road, it includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room and a Jacuzzi as well as a hair dressers and a beauty therapists.
